ROSENDAHL DESIGN GROUP A/S UN GLOBAL COMPACT COMMUNICATION ON PROGRESS 2020 • FOREWORD FOREWORD When entering 2020 no one anticipated that so much of what we have come to take for granted in our everyday lives would be brought to a halt. Suddenly, abruptly and with unprece - dented force. Even while watching initial events unfold no one expected COVID-19 to develop into a global pandemic that would shut down supply, markets and demand almost instantane - ously. But it did and as we reached March it became start - lingly clear that business as usual was a thing of the past. I am proud to say that even during a year so heavily influ - enced by the Corona-pandemic, Rosendahl Design Group managed to make great strides within our efforts to bring corporate citizenship to the forefront of our work. As the report shows, COVID-19 did slow down some of our proje - cts. Our response, however, was to make responsibility core business. In our new overarching business strategy, approved by the Board in December 2020, Corporate Social Responsibility is one of our five prioritized areas, integrating it into our long term objectives, processes and way of working on level terms with more traditional hard goals. As the report shows we mean business when addressing responsibility. As a new feature of our reporting we have built the report around the UN Sustainable Development Goals while still using the ten principles of the UN Global Compact to further elaborate on our efforts as the report outlines our ambitions and the progress made during the past 12 months. It can be read independently or as a supplement to the Annual Report 2020. Enjoy reading Mette Maix CEO, Rosendahl Design Group A/S 3
